History

IKM Instrutek AS has a history that dates all the way back to 1985. Our focus on safe and healthy growth, has established the company as a strong player in todays market.

Instrutek was founded in 1985 as a trading company. Our main target areas back then was electronics, electro and automation. We had a continous growth throughout the 90's, were we experienced growth in new areas such as temperature- and pressure calibration, as well as test kits for education.

IKM and establishing the company in the marine market
In 2005 Instrutek got together with the company "Basse Gundersen AS", and we established us in the marine market. Later that same year, we moved in to our new office facilities in Larvik, Norway.

The IKM Group became a majority owner in December 2006, and the company changed its name to IKM Instrutek AS. The service- and calibration unit for the company "Nortronix" was bought the same year, and with this we expanded both our competence and degree of service.

September 1st 2011 we merged with IKM Products, where they now are part of our build-up in the Stavanger area. In addition, we take Electro Partner's maritime operations from 1 October 2011 

IKM Instrutek AS currently employs just under 60 people, and our revised budget for 2011 is 200 million.
