Portable:
Most vessels are required to carry portable gas detectors at all times. This is crucial equipment that needs to be serviced and calibrated on a regular basis.
We provide our customers with 2 choises:
1. The customer calibrates all the instruments onboard and replaces sensors when needed.
2. The customer ships all instruments to us. We perform service and calibration in our calibration lab.
In both cases we monitor and log the condition and age of the sensors and recommend changes when needed.
We recommend all clients to go for option 2, as this ensures a qualified inspection by trained engineers.
Many customers find it convenient to implement the gas detectors in our E0 suitcase of instruments.
Fixed:
MSA Stationary gas measurement instruments and systems.
Flammable and toxic gases often occur in various industrial processes, and MSA have developed gas instruments, flame detectors and complete control systems. Regulations, laws and classification societies require systems that ensure the employees at the workplace against any hazards and incidents of gas leaks. MSA supplies complete systems to meets these demands and needs. Stationary gas instruments are installed permanently to monitor dangerous places and give alarm, audible or visual with shutdown of fans and ventilation systems.
Sensors.
Sensors play a very important role in the gas detection systems. Effective detection requires accurate, stable and fast response sensors to achieve high quality and reliable signals. For this reason, MSA develops and assembles their own sensors which ensure full compatibility with their controllers. To meet the various needs, a wide range of sensor-technologies is required. Many of these technologies are developed by the MSA and is constantly improved to meet increasing demands in the market.
Control systems.
MSA offers a wide range of control systems specifically designed to handle gas detector signals and take appropriate measures to minimize risk to people and equipment.
Flame detector.
MSA has developed and delivers a variety of flame detector. Flame Gard ® 5 UV / IR Flame Detector is designed to detect fires and provide alarm outputs directly from the detector while maintaining false alarm immunity. Flame Gard ® 5 UV / IR Flame Detector detects fires by monitoring in both the ultraviolet and infrared (UV and IR) spectral regions, making it highly immune to false alarms caused by lightning, arc welding, hot objects and other radiation sources.
