Bergen based Cleandrill is a subsea technology business, specialising in collection, management and transfer of drilling fluids and cuttings. This acquisition forms part of a significant expansion of IKM’s existing cuttings transport (CTS) business, which will include development of a new generation of Mud Recovery without Riser and zero discharge drilling technologies.

Ståle Kyllingstad, head of IKM, commented “Cleandrill’s technology and expertise complement and enhance IKM’s existing activities in the area of subsea drilling fluids management. We look forward to welcoming Cleandrill into the IKM Group and building our capabilities in this high potential market area”. Tom Hasler, MD of Cleandrill, added “ IKM’s existing CTS business, global service organisation and broad subsea engineering capabilities create an ideal home for the further growth and development of Cleandrill”

The Jasmine Project includes the Jasmine wellhead and the Judi riser platform.

Jasmine wellhead platform

The Jasmine field will use the Jasmine Wellhead Platform (JWHP) for production. The platform will be supported by a four leg 5.440t jacket and nine piles. It will contain 24 slots and topsides weighing 5.500t. The platform will be connected to the Jasmine Living Quarters through a 480t bridge, 100m in length. It will have a capacity of 300MMSCFD of gas and 90.000b/d of condensate. A test separator and flare are also part of the platform.

Judy riser platform

A new riser platform called the Judy riser platform (JRP) will be added to the production facilities at the Judy field. The JRP will be supported by a four leg 5.400t jacket with eight piles. It will contain 12 slots and topsides weighing 6.200t. The JRP will be connected to the existing Judy platform via a 100 m-long bridge, weighing 670t. It will feature primary oil and gas separation facilities, flash gas compression and product cooling facilities.

In April 2010 Dragados Offshore was awarded the contract for construction of the topsides of the JWHP and JRP. Scope of work for Dragados includes engineering and construction of the jackets. Dragados will also construct the connecting bridge between the JWHP and JRP.

SEPAT Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU)

IKM has been awarded by Petrofac and Kencana Petroleum the SEPAT offshore early production system offshore Malaysia. The SEPAT Field will compromise of a mobile offshore production unit, a floating storage and offloading facility for the early production of about 20,000 barrels of oil per day, and all interconnecting subsea pipelines. The SEPAT oil discovery is located in Block PM 313.

IKM scope of work both onshore and offshore include: Oil Flushing, Controlled Bolt Tightening (Flange Management), Nitrogen/Helium Leak Testing and Accumulator Certification. Equipment was mobilized in October 2011 to Kencana HL Shipyard in Lumut, Malaysia and works were completed by January 2012.

BERANTAI Well Head Platform (WHP)

The Berantai Field is located in Block PM 309 in the Malaysian sector of the South China Sea. The field is 195 km from Kemaman Supply Base, offshore Terengganu Malaysia. The Petrofac / Kencana newly built WHP will be capable to supporting the drilling of 18 wells.

IKM scope of work both onshore and offshore include: Project Engineering, Controlled Bolt Tightening (Flange Management), Nitrogen/Helium Leak Test and KAMOS Gasket integrity tests. Equipment will be mobilized in April 2012 to Kencana yard in Kemaman, Malaysia and works are to be completed by June 2012.
