The Merlin TR2000 trenching system was developed and put in operation in 1999. An upgrade program is presently underway and the Merlin TR2000 has already been re-introduced to the market.
The system has successfully performed trenching of products ranging from umbilical cables, flowlines and rigid pipelines up to 60 inch diameter. The Merlin TR2000 holds a record continuous trenching operation over duration of 14 days without recovery. When the system finally was recovered, it was due to the job being complete.
