IKM Ocean Design follows in the footsteps of IKM Testing and IKM Measurement and opens a new business unit in Perth, Australia. With the offices in Perth IKM Ocean Design confirms and strengthens its position as one of the leading companies in engineering design of offshore and onshore pipeline systems, risers, subsea and marine structures. The office is in operation from the 1st of September 2010.
| IKM Ocean Design’s core activities since the company was formed in 1985 have been engineering design of marine pipelines and risers. The field of pipeline engineering has dramatically changed since the start of the company. IKM Ocean Design has been part of this development and has greatly influenced the pipeline engineering industry in Norway. IKM Ocean Design has unsurpassed experience in the industry for design of trunk lines, in-field production pipelines and risers. | The company’s Norwegian offices have over the last 2 quarters strengthened IKM Ocean Design’s position in the market, through successful tendering for several operators and contractors in the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea, thorough performance on on-going projects (i.e. field development studies, flow assurance studies. conceptual and FEED project, fast track projects, pre-engineering and detail engineering projects, 3rd party verification and certification and EPC for subsea structures as pig launchers and valve stations), development and implementation of new FEM software and technology and a further increase in staff with experienced engineers. |
