Engineer Level 2 - IKM Testing UK Ltd (Aberdeen)

To safely carry out controlled and efficient execution of all operational activities, maintaining and developing effective client and employee relations.

Directly Reports to Process Operations Manager

Roles and Responsibilities
• Assist in the management of onsite operations.
• Liaise with client onsite.
• Ensure compliance with Quality and HSE Management System at all times, by ensuring that all
   erational requirements are performed / completed in accordance with procedures.
• Ensure daily Tool Box Talks are held onsite with all work teams under their control and that 
   PPE is suitable to meet job requirements.
• Oversee general daily function performed / assigned to subordinates.
• Provide on-the-job monitoring of tasks and activities.
• Planning and monitoring progress against deadlines and amendment of work packs.
• Help supervise and mentor / coach more junior staff.
• Preparation of project specific procedures.
• Preparation and review of project specific mobilisation lists.
• Assist in completion of tenders.
• Attend client visits to provide technical support to business development.
• Complete log book.
• To carry out your duties and responsibilities in accordance with any and all Company Policies,
   protocols, procedures, risk assessments and systems (including emergency and incident routines) as
   well as specific site assignment instruction / requirements.
• Travel where required.
• Adhere to Company’s policies and procedures.

Preferred:

• HND or University degree qualification in any Engineering Discipline.

Experience Required

Essential:
• MUST have previous experience working in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Sound technical knowledge of Pipeline and Process Testing operations and the equipment used.
• Ability to work well in a team whilst also working independently using own initiative.

Preferred:
• Able to read P&ID’s /Isometric Drawings.
• Experience using Bluebeam / Adviser / Controller bolting software.
• Experience in Nitrogen / Helium Leak Testing and / or Chemical Cleaning.
• Offshore experience.

Personal Skills
• Must have previous experience working in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Willing to complete offshore visits.
