Hose Technician - IKM Testing UK (Aberdeen)

To maintain the company’s hose stocks in relation to serviceability, certification and accuracy of stock, as well as testing a variety of equipment and supporting overall Yard operations.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for Hose inspection and maintenance, completion of Hose pre-pressurisation check sheet.
   Hose inspection will include, but not limited to, visual inspection of Hose, ensuring all threads
   are serviceable, ID labels are accurate and legible.
• Responsible for ensuring all returned (de-mobbed) stocks are accurately recorded and faulty
   equipment identified and reported to maintenance Chargehand.
• Responsible for all Hose testing and accountable in ensuring all charts are filed and records are
   passed to the Certification Coordinator.
• Liaise with the Certification Coordinator on a daily basis, ensuring hoses are ready, certified/ fit for
   duration, and on time for job mobilisation.
• Ensure that the testing area is kept clean and all equipment is maintained, serviceable and calibrated
  where required.
• Responsible for the Pressure Test Register and its upkeep.
• Carry out your duties and responsibilities in accordance with all company policies, protocols, procedures,
   risk assessments and systems
  (including emergency and incident routines), as well as specific site assignment instruction/requirements.
• Any other duties communicated by the Maintenance Chargehand in providing support to all
   Yard operations.

Qualifications Required:
• Driving license.
• Forklift truck license.

Experience Required:
• Must have previous experience working in the oil and gas industry.
• Must have sound technical knowledge of Pipeline and Process Testing operations and the equipment used.
• Experience working within a similar discipline.
• Experience working within a carefully managed QHSE environment.
• Thorough knowledge of pressure testing, fittings and hose management.

• Operating overhead gantry crane.

• Computer literacy - Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to follow IKM procedures and ensure QHSE compliance at all times.
