Solids Control

Efficient slop treatment starts with solids removal. We combine centrifuges or scraper filters with Xpel/Xtract to optimize separation and performance.

A successful slop treatment process normally requires the removal of solids prior to fluid separation.

By using decanter centrifuges or scraper filters together with our Xpel or Xtract technology we can optimize fluid treatment efficiency.

Key Differences:

  • Separation Mechanism: Centrifuges use centrifugal force, while scraper filters use mechanical scraping.

  • Solids Concentration: Centrifuges can handle higher solids concentrations.

  • Maintenance: Scraper filters may be easier to maintain than centrifuges.

  • Energy Consumption: Scraper filters generally have lower energy consumption.

The choice between a decanter centrifuge and a scraper filter depends on the specific application, including the type of solids and liquids, desired solids concentration, and available space.
