IKM Ocean Design AS was established as a supplier of high value engineering services for the oil and gas industry in 2005 however the company’s history stretches back nearly 40 years. All work within IKM Ocean Design is organized as projects. Due to the nature of IKM Ocean Design’s business, projects are varying from smaller studies to detailed design projects with duration from a few months to several years. The company is set up for varying size projects with respect to project support and administration.

Engineering Design of Marine Pipelines and Risers have been IKM Ocean Design’s core activities since the company was formed in 1983. The field of pipeline engineering has dramatically changed since the start of the company. IKM Ocean Design AS has been part of this development and has greatly influenced the pipeline engineering industry in Norway.
