IKM Operations has been awarded the exercise of an option for Operational Inspection by Equinor Energy AS.

IKM Operations, a part of IKM Gruppen AS, has been awarded the exercise of an option for Operational Inspection by Equinor Energy AS.

The option includes management and planning, as well as the execution of operational inspections of equipment and structures, including NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) inspections on the following offshore installations and onshore facilities:

  • Snorre, Sleipner, Gudrun, Gina Krog, Draupner and Johan Sverdrup (a total of 15 offshore installations), as well as Tjeldbergodden Facility.

The option period is four years, starting from 01.01.2026, with a further possible extension option of +4 years. The contract is expected to employ approximately 40–50 personnel, with significant additional staffing needs during campaigns and maintenance shutdowns.

The contract entails close collaboration with Equinor’s operations in various locations, on- and offshore.

“IKM thanks Equinor for their renewed trust. This is a contract where we combine specialist services from several IKM companies, with IKM Inspection, our sister company, playing a central role. Several new advanced, cost-efficient, and innovative inspection methods will be utilized,” says Executive Vice President Arne Vervik.

Estimated contract value in this option is estimated to be aprrox. 300 million kroner.

IKM Operations is part of the IKM Group, which currently employs 3,900 people across approximately 60 companies in 14 countries. IKM consists of two legal entities, IKM Gruppen AS and IKM Invest AS, and has a budgeted turnover of NOK 10.0 billion for 2025.
