Field Engineer - Instrumentation & Telecom

Responsibilities

* Coordinate and intervene as required to achieve agreed milestones for the offshore installation, hook-up scope as directed by the Offshore.
* Monitor closely site activities within their activities and ensure anticipation of technical clarification, requirement for specific material or assistance from Vendors (for Construction and pre-commissioning scope), as required to secure this offshore schedule (using the activities described in the 3 Weeks look-ahead,)
* Manage Instrumentation and Telecom completion by Participating to RFCC inspections and ensure smooth coordination with Commissioning.
* Assess offshore Change request and provide inputs to CC Team Lead to monitor the acceptance.
* Liaise with customer's field engineers to address any site technical clarifications, or documentation clarification in the view of maximizing site solving of blocking points.
* Liaise with Onshore engineering team to report site condition allowing the assessment of technical issues that cannot be handled completely offshore (critical subjects)
* Issue sites queries when required with clear description and with pro-active proposal allowing quick answer from Engineering
* Anticipate through activities planned on the 6 Weeks look-ahead, technical issues, requirement for specific material or assistance from Vendors (for Construction and pre-commissioning scope).
* Monitor with the Onshore support team the closure of COW and Punch that required re-engineering or additional procurement.
* Provide daily reporting to the CC team lead, by highlighting activities done, forecasted and AOCs

Responsibilities continuation

* Adhere to and effectively communicate Project HSE Policies.
* Proactively intervene where HSE deficiencies are identified and report.
* Being "visible in the field" and "walking the talk" with HSE as a priority.
* Attend Project HSE meetings, training and inspection as when invited to.
* Consult HSE team in the execution and planning of key critical activities.
* Attend Safety tours and specific Inspections at least once a week.
* Ensure that HSE procedures & Policies are properly implemented.
* Monitor safety statistics, and initiate improvement plans. Ensure that all incidents and anomalies are properly reported and analyzed.
* Participate, carry out JSA and hazard reviews, communicate HSE notices and implement and follow up on corrective actions as required.
* Promote Contractor HSE management improvement's and safe working practices
* Motivate Contractor, Sub Contractor and Company personnel in order to achieve HSE targets
* International and multi-cultural environment.
* Assessment of Methodology, engineering and procurement for all subjects related to (Electrical, instrumentation, and telecom)

Required expertise

* Instrumentation and Telecom Engineering Degree.
* 15 years professional experience
* Large experience on similar topside at equivalent position.
* Familiar with NCS requirements (PSA/Norsok)
* Offshore construction back-ground.
