Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities

* Ensure that Procurement is done in accordance with company rules and regulations as well as public law.
* Preparation and maintenance of procurement plans
* Preparation of Inquiries, clarifications, evaluations and placing of orders.
* Order follow-up
* Keep the project personnel aware of the procurement status.
* The position is given accountability according to the company Authorisation Matrix
* Job holder will report to Project Manager and to Procurement Manager.

Required expertise

* Relevant previous experience in an offshore procurement and/or logistic environment
* Educated to a degree level in commercial / logistic is preferred, although attainment of other recognised qualifications would be acceptable if combined with suitable experience.
* Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Must be able to cooperate across disciplines and departments.
* Oral and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
* General computer skills (Word/XL) SAP ERP System
* Pro-Active, good Co-ordination, organisation and liaison skills
* Ability to seek and gain consensus solutions to work issues.
* Good personal skills and ability to adapt to changes and contribute to continuous improvements
