Operator - Offshore

IKM Testing UK (Aberdeen)

Following sustained growth within our Pipeline Operations department, IKM Testing in Aberdeen are seeking to recruit offshore personnel for field-based operations. This position will be at Operator level. Personnel must have the relevant offshore certification and have previous experience in pipeline pre-commissioning, decommissioning and IRM type work.

Based offshore, these are staff positions and personnel will be ad hoc and expected to mobilise at short notice. To be considered for this position, you will have relevant experience in a similar role, be willing to travel offshore/internationally as and when required to deliver on operational requirements, possess a can-do attitude, have a strong work ethic and demonstrate a firm commitment to delivering and maintaining a high level of

client service. Preference may be given to those within the North East area.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate can-do attitude, communicating in a positive manner with all IKM personnel, client representatives, and other 3rd party contractor personnel.
  • Adhere to the IKM Core Values.
  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct and attitude towards health and safety at all times.
  • Mentor/Coach Junior members of the crew.
  • Operate diesel driven N2 and Fluid pumps.
  • Operate air driven pumps and hose reels.
  • Operate auxiliary equipment associated with multiple service lines.
  • Accurately spot equipment, bunded area (if required) and containers to minimise disruption to client’s site whilst ensuring that all safety requirements are met and understood.
  • Ability to follow programmes, procedures and technical drawing.
  • Have an understanding of company QHSE systems and programmes and ensure compliance.
  • Assist Supervisor with operational paperwork.
  • Take ownership of competency development by gathering competency evidence and uploading it to the Competency Management System in I-Skills.
  • Perform essential basic maintenance across all IKM operated pumps.
  • To carry out your duties and responsibilities in accordance with any and all Company Policies, protocols, procedures, risk assessments and systems (including emergency and incident routines), as well as specific site assignment instruction / requirements.
  • Representative IKM’s best interest at all times.
  • Travel to various locations, both onshore, offshore, and internationally, as and when required.
  • Be able to carry out basic oilfield calculations.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Basic Secondary Education
  • OGUK Offshore Medical Certificate
  • Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) Certificate
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) Certificate
