Structural engineer - Discipline Lead

Responsibilities

-Lead and take responsibility for all structural engineering activities within the assigned project.
-Prepare man-hour estimates, schedules, and manpower resource requirements to meet project objectives.
-Ensure job progress aligns with the schedule and meets the required quality standards.
-Establish need dates for the assignment of personnel on the job.
-Supervise, assign, and schedule work for the entire structural team on the project.
-Maintain regular contact with clients and other discipline Lead Engineers to ensure accurate, timely communication and the smooth flow of information.

Required expertise

-Master's or bachelorÂ’s degree in engineering.
-Minimum 5 years of experience as a Discipline Engineer.
-Knowledge of relevant design rules and standards.
-Detailed understanding of PEM, Discipline engineering methods & tools, and processes in relevant execution phases.
-Familiarity with requirements for interfacing with other disciplines and parties, as well as EMM best practices relevant to the area of responsibility.
-Experience in Structural calculations.
-Adequate knowledge of contract, budgeting, change, and risk management.
-Management capabilities, proactive with good communication and coordination skills.
-Proficiency in software such as Sesam Genie, STAAPro, Naviswork, Mathcad, and E3D.
Languages: Fluent in both Norwegian and English, both written and oral.
