Equinor has awarded IKM Ocean Design a Pipeline Engineering Concept Study for Wisting Field in Barents Sea

The scope includes the conceptual design of the Wisting pipelines and umbilicals routing and overall field layout conceptual engineering.

In addition the contract includes conceptual design of the 200 km long gas expert pipeline form Wisting field to the Snøhvit D template.

Wisting is a discovery in the Barents Sea, 300 kilometres from Norway’s northern coast. The water depth is 400 metres. Equinor will have the operatorship of Wisting in the development phase, while OMV will assume the role as operator for the operation phase.
