Senior HSSE External Environment Professional

About

This role will help shape and further develop the climate and sustainability strategy and implement energy management in company throughout the value chain. The role will ensure that the company has adequate strategies, processes and methods to manage climate challenges.

Responsibilities

* Identify and follow up climate/energy efficiency funding support initiatives for the company.
* Drive development of climate, sustainability and energy strategy and ensure adequate processes and methods within these areas. Close collaboration with Strategy and Business Development to implement climate strategy
* Develop and maintain input to business management system (BMS) for climate and energy management.
* Participate in relevant networks and technical communities, and ensure learning transfer where this creates value for company.
* Support and implement digitalization efforts within energy management.
* Ensure compliance to Norwegian Legislation and company standards and processes.
* Engage in HSSEQ R&D projects relevant for climate and energy management.
* Understand and deliver business improvements according to LEAN principles.
* Responsible for CDP reporting and HSSEQ input to annual Sustainability report
* Identify and follow up climate related enterprise risks
* Participation in assessments of low-emission technologies
* Demonstrate strong commitment to the HSSEQ policy and strategies
* Deep knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards within climate and energy management
* Demonstrate and follow company's Values

Required expertise

* Master degree in relevant disciplines (i.e. Petroleum, Chemistry, Biology, Economics)
* Minimum 5-10 years' experience in relevant industry and knowledge of climate/energy management
