IKM Testing AS has acquired 80% of the shares in the Danish technology provider Ocean Team Group AS. The acquisition is part of IKM Testing AS’s investment strategy in the field of new technology, offshore wind, CCUS and growth in Denmark. Ocean Team Group AS has changed name to IKM Ocean Team AS.
Øystein Stjern has been appointed as deputy CEO of IKM Group. He will continue to have responsibility for the Subsea and Renewables division, as well as the Electrical, Rig and Downhole services division.
- Over the last few years, IKM has worked actively to find its position in the renewables market and this has resulted in several strategic investments, as well as the establishment of operational companies within, for example, offshore wind, such as FØN Energy Services, says Stjern.
The frame agreement secures Dolphin Drilling access to all relevant drilling and well services within IKM. ROV Services from IKM Subsea AS will be the first service to be supplied under the contract.
TotalEnergies EP Danmark A/S together with its Danish Underground Consortium partners Noreco and Nordsøfonden has awarded IKM Testing AS a contract on the Tyra Redevelopment Project. The contract will be managed from IKM Testing’s Head Office at Sola Norway, and will give high activity offshore in the Danish North Sea during 2022-2023.
Independent integrated solutions provider IKM Testing UK has been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver well integrity services across bp’s portfolio of North Sea assets. The contract also has future provision for supporting bp’s international assets with similar workscopes.
IKM and Akastor have combined forces to create an international operations and maintenance (O&M) company for the offshore wind industry called Føn Energy Services.
